If not us, then who? If not now, then when?
Solen Gratiet's Report on
The United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, March, 2008
"…despite all the discussions and resolutions made, torture, genocide, rape, forced marriages, disappearances, and many other violations of people's basic rights will continue all over the world.…However, the importance of this event should not be underestimated … the UN Human Rights Council has enormous symbolic value, representing a mobilisation of energy for change for the better in many domains."

God with an action plan
Raphael Bate's report on
the same UN Human Right Council meeting
"The United Nations declaration of Human rights was a response against the horrors of world war two. A Frenchman, Rene Cassin, authored the declaration of the universal rights of man on 10 December 1948 in Geneva."
To me the UN is like God with an action plan, a clip board, microscope and democracy. By looking, listening, communicating, measuring, computing, analysing , guidelines are produced and hopefully carried out and then monitored. Compassion for all attempted democratically! ... I think that a fully human life force is the goal of the UN.
